You may have found the perfect part- time job!CHESS FOR KIDS is a start up non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the many benefits and joys of chess to as many young people as possible in Sonoma County.
We welcome applicants who can teach young children the basic elements of chess. Training and lesson plans provided.
To qualify you must have the following:
• Patience with children
• Ability to handle a class of 8-20 students
• Your own transportation
• Background check required

The Benefits of Teaching Chess
The 1979-1983 Venezuela ``Learning to Think Project,'' which trained 100,000 teachers to teach thinking skills and involved a sample of 4,266 second grade students, reached a general conclusion that chess, methodologically taught, is an incentive system sufficient to accelerate the increase of IQ in elementary age children of both sexes at all socio-economic levels.
